A StautRH e Kestria Brasil - EXECUTIVE SEARCH DIVISION, in partnership with a multinational company is seeking a Managing Director – South America.
The Managing Director South America will oversee operations in the region, ensuring alignment with the Americas and global strategy while driving profitable growth and sustainable performance.
Responsibilities:
Strategic & Regional Leadership
- Lead and oversee operations in South America.
- Develop and execute a unified regional strategy that aligns with the Americas business plan and global direction.
- Drive integration of companies within the region, ensuring synergies and efficiencies are captured.
- Champion the local strategy, focusing on localization of supply, manufacturing, and commercial presence.
Commercial Excellence
- Actively engage with OEMs, fleets, distributors, and industry partners to strengthen relationships and drive growth.
- Leverage commercial expertise to identify and secure new business opportunities across the product portfolio.
- Understand and influence key commercial drivers in the region.
- Monitor competitive landscape and adjust strategies to maintain strong market positioning.
Succession Planning & Talent Development
- Identify critical roles within the South America businesses and establish clear succession plans.
- Mentor and develop future leaders to ensure long-term organizational strength and continuity.
- Build a strong leadership pipeline aligned with the company’s values, culture, and performance expectations.
Operational & Financial Management
- Ensure that each business entity meets financial, operational, and quality performance targets.
- Oversee regional P&L, budgets, and investment planning.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial operations.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, corporate governance, and global standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Finance to deliver results.
- Represent South America within Americas leadership team and provide input into regional and global decision-making.
- Facilitate knowledge and best practice sharing between South America operations and other regions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Leadership experience industrial manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on commercial and P&L responsibility.
- Proven track record in managing complex regional businesses across multiple legal entities.
- Deep commercial acumen and ability to build and maintain senior-level customer relationships.
- Experience leading integrations, driving synergies, and implementing local-for-local strategies.
- Strong people leadership skills with demonstrated success in succession planning and talent development.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English required; Spanish desirable.
